5 Week Wheel Throwing Course - Beginners
Our 5 week course in wheel throwing is perfect for beginner potters who are looking to learn wheel thrown pottery or improve their skills.
Run over 5 weeks of 2 hour sessions, one session per week.
In our 5 week beginner wheel throwing course students will be guided to create a range of beginner level to more challenging items. Learn about creating different forms on the wheel, improving your wheel throwing skills, drying and trimming your pots, and learn about glazing and ceramic theory.
Classes will be held at the same day and time over 5 weeks.
The cost of your course includes all the materials & firings of your works.
Our teachers are here to guide you and we want to help you to create beautiful items that you can keep forever!
Session Details
Duration: 5x 2hr sessions (building sessions & glazing sessions)
Cost: $350.00 per person - includes all sessions
Please make sure that you note your weekly sessions into your diary for all 5 weeks!

Includes: Materials, clay, firings, and glazes.
Our Fridge is available for use by 5 week students. Our studio & bathrooms are wheel chair accessible.
5 Week Wheel Course FAQs
Can kids come to this workshop? A: This workshop is suitable for anyone 14 years or older.
Where are the workshops located? A: All of our public workshops are held on site in our Sunshine Coast pottery workshop.
Does the price include all sessions? A: The price of your workshop includes all 5 sessions.
Can we take our pieces home straight away? A: In the first session you will create with the clay, the clay will then air dry for 5 - 7 days in our studio. Your pieces will then be bisque fired in the kiln, and then you will come back to glaze them in your final session. After that, they will be fired again. Collection is usually around 2-3 weeks after your course end date.
You will be given a collection card with details for collecting your finished pieces.
*Please note finished works must be collected within 4 weeks post glazing. Non-collected works are donated to charity. If you need longer to collect please notify us during your session or via email.
